Following February’s teaser trailer release, the full-length trailer for HBO’s Fahrenheit 451 adaptation, starring Michael B. Jordan, has been released.
The film is based on Ray Bradbury’s 1953 literary classic, Fahrenheit 451,
Michael Shannon, Laura Harrier (who recently had her breakout role as Liz in Spider-Man: Homecoming), Sofia Boutella, Khandi Alexander and Lilly Singh are also starring in the project, which depicts a future where media is an opiate, history is outlawed, and “firemen” burn books. Guy Montag (Jordan), a 30-year-old fireman who becomes increasingly discontent as he realizes he has been living an empty, unfulfilling life, forsakes his world, battles his mentor (Shannon), and struggles to regain his humanity.
Filmmaker Ramin Bahrani (99 Homes) is directing as well as co-writing the adaptation along with Amir Naderi. Jordan is also executive producing the project through his Outlier Productions.
The novel has been adapted several times over the years, most notably Francois Truffaut’s 1966 film.
