We have the first look at the live-action Titans series, inspired by DC Comics franchise Teen Titans.
It will be one of the first series to air exclusively on DC’s upcoming streaming service, DC Universe.
The trailer premiered at San Diego Comic-Con, and DC Universe has also revealed more about their pricing plans.
Preorders are available now at DC Universe for the streaming service (which will also include comics with lots of other content like exclusive comic releases) for $74.99 annually or a $7.99 monthly subscription. If you sign up before launch with a pre-order, three months will be free. The app will be available for Android, iOS, Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, as well as mobile and web.
Titans follows a group of young soon-to-be superheroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. In the action-adventure series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes that includes Starfire, Raven and others.
Anna Diop’s character, Starfire (also known as Koriand’r) “is an alien princess from a warrior planet who seeks asylum on Earth. A no-nonsense, take-no-prisoners stranger on our world, she has the ability to shoot energy bolts and fly. Searching for her place on Earth, she’ll come into contact with the Titans.”
