A new promo gives ust the first look at the Five Points, an upcoming drama series on Facebook Watch produced by Kerry Washington — under her Simpson Street banner — and Indigenous Media.
Five Points is set on the South Side of Chicago and takes a look at high school students from five unique points of view. When a life-changing event occurs, all of these different perspectives will be necessary to understand the truth.
The diverse cast consists of Madison Pettis, Haley Kiyoko, Ray Cham Jr., Trey Curtis, Nathaniel Potvin, Jake Walker and Spence Moore II.
It is directed by Thomas Carter, the director of films like Save the Last Dance and Coach Carter, and television projects such as the the 2016 Roots miniseries.
This is another project for Washington behind-the-scenes. She has an overall deal at ABC and has some things in the works over there, including the comedy, Melting Pot, and a drama series on four women cops at LAPD.
She’s also exec producing Universal’s City of Saints and Thieves with Will Packer, directed by Melina Matsoukas.
