In an exclusive from Deadline, Whitaker is set to star in the Netflix holiday film Jingle Jangle. The holiday musical, written and directed by David E. Talbert, is set in a cobblestone world that comes to life. Whitaker is set to portray Jeronicus Jangle, a once-great toy maker and inventor who comes across a magical invention just as his granddaughter visits for the holidays. Jangle embarks on a quest to bring the magical device to life just in time for the holidays.
Jingle Jangle, which is produced by Talbert and John Legend, will premiere on Netflix in 2020.
