The Grown-ish cast is expanding.
Chloe Bailey and Halle Bailey (Chloe x Halle) and Luka Sabbat, who all recurred heavily in the first season, appearing in almost every episode, have been officially bumped up to series regular on the Freeform Black-ish spinoff starring Yara Shahidi.
Additionally, Diggy Simmons, who guest-starred in two episodes of the first season, has upped to recurring status.
The second season, which will consist of 20 episodes as opposed to season 1’s 13 episodes, is expected to return in 2019.
Grown-ish follows Zoey (Shahidi), Dre (Anthony Anderson) and Rainbow’s (Tracee Ellis Ross) popular, entitled, stylish and socially active 17-year-old daughter from Black-ish, as she heads into her freshman year of college.
Shahidi is also joined onscreen by series regulars Trevor Jackson as Aaron Jackson, Jordan Buhat as Vivek Shah, Emily Arlook as Nomi Segal, Francia Raisa as Ana Torres, Chris Parnell as Dean Parker, Deon Cole as Charlie Telphy. Da’Vinchi recurs in the series.
Kenya Barris, Anthony Anderson, Laurence Fishburne, Helen Sugland and E. Brian Dobbins are executive producers of the series. Grown-ish is produced by ABC Signature Studios.
