Halle Berry is circling a Jagged Edge remake at Sony, according to confirmations from multiple industry publications.
The project is in early development at a new version of the 1985 thriller starring Glenn Close and Jeff Bridges.
In the original film, Lawyer Teddy Barnes reluctantly takes up the case of publisher Jack Forrester, who is accused of murdering his wife for her money. As the trial develops, she is kept guessing right to the very last minute as to whether Jack is an innocent man or a cunning, manipulative murderer.
Doug Belgrad and Matti Leshem are producing. No writer has been tapped yet.
Berry can be seen next in the LA race riots-set Kings, due in theaters this month.
