Howard took over the film after the firing of Phil Lord and Chris Miller in June, which resulted in the reshoots, which conflict with Williams’ schedule.
The film, starring Donald Glover as young Lando Calrissian and Thandie Newton in an undisclosed role, will be in theaters on May 25, 2018.
Michael K. Williams was also set for a film and would have played a half-human, half-animal before his role was cut due to reshoots. “
