The cast of Harlem is back for a second season in these new first-look images released by Prime Video. The second season will drop on Feb. 3.

The second season will follow Meagan Good’s character Camille as she figures out how to regroup from the extreme changes she’s weathered in her life. According to the official description:

From writer Tracy Oliver (Girls Trip), in Season Two, after blowing up her career and disrupting her love life, Camille (Meagan Good) has to figure out how to put the pieces back together; Tye (Jerrie Johnson) considers her future; Quinn (Grace Byers) goes on a journey of self-discovery; and Angie’s (Shoniqua Shandai) career takes a promising turn.

Oliver executive produces along with Amy Poehler and her Paper Kite exec Kim Lessing, 3 Arts’ Dave Becky, Britt Matt and Linda Mendoza, and Pharrell Williams and Mimi Valdés of i am OTHER.

The second season is also set to add fan-favorite actors to the cast; Rick Fox, Sherri Shepherd, Lil Rel Howrey and Countess Vaughn will guest star while Rachel True, Courtnee Carter and Luke Forbes will be in recurring roles.

Oliver spoke with Shadow and Act in 2021 about why she wanted to create a show featuring complex Black women living in New York City, a point of view that often doesn’t get showcased or put on a pedestal while shows with white casts, like Friends, Sex and the City and Girls, get the lions’ share of mainstream attention.

“I would look at shows like Sex and the City or Friends and I felt like Black and brown New York was gentrified out of those shows. They just were not there,” she said. “I wanted to tell the story in the way that I remember it and to also give a spotlight to Harlem because at the time everyone would shoot in New York, but never Harlem and so I just thought, ‘here’s my opportunity to write a love letter and feature the people and places in Harlem that I loved so much while I was there.’”
