Netflix is chock full of shows and films for Black audiences this month.
There’s something for everyone, from young watchers to the old. For instance, Seth Carr, otherwise known to Black Panther fans as kid Killmonger, stars in The Main Event, a Like Mike for kid WWE fans.
Taraji P. Henson stars in detective comedy Coffee & Kareem, and Kenya Barris brings fans another look into the Black nouveau riche with #blackAF. Nailed It, starring Nicole Byer, comes back for its fourth season. Also Jonathan Daviss and Madison Bailey co-star in the new YA drama, Outer Banks.
As for non-originals, Beyonce-starring Cadillac Records, Spike Lee’s School Daze, the Lethal Weapon series starring Danny Glover and Django Unchained, starring Jamie Foxx and Kerry Washington, hit the platform just in time for cinephiles who are doing their best to stay calm and entertained during self-isolation.
There’s more Black entertainment to look for other than that, including The Players’ Club, Soul Plane, Sprinter and more. Here’s the full listing of everything coming to and leaving Netflix this month.
