The premiere dates of three HBO Max film projects for this year have been set, including the reboot of House Party.
Moonshot premiere date has been pushed back seven days to March 31. The film stars Cole Sprouse, Lana Condor, Mason Gooding, Emily Rudd, and Zach Braff. Christopher Winterbauer serves as the director. Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Jill McElroy, Jenna Sarkin are producers while Mike McGrath, Richard Brener, Nikki Ramey, Paulina Sussman, Dana Fox, Michelle Morrissey offer their talents as executive producers. Written by Max Taxe, the project is romantic comedy that blends sci-fi, as two college students crash a spaceship to Mars, a now inhabitable planet, to get closer to their significant others
Father of the Bride will premiere June 16. Cast for the Gaz Alazraki revival include Andy Garcia, Gloria Estefan, Adria Arjona, Isabela Merced, Diego Boneta, Ana Fabrega and Chloe Fineman. Matt Lopez wrote the screenplay. Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner produce while Garcia, Jesse Ehrman, Paul Perez and Ted Gidlow serve as executive producers. The project is described as “a story of a father coming to grips with his daughter’s upcoming wedding through the prism of multiple relationships within a big, sprawling Cuban-American family.”
And finally, the party comes to HBO on July 28 with the reboot of the classic comedy film, House Party. The reboot stars Tosin Cole, Jacob Latimore, Karen Obilom and DC Young Fly. Calmatic directs the screenplay by Jamal Olori and Stephen Glover. The project is produced by LeBron James and Maverick Carter through The SpringHill Company. Springhill’s Spencer Beighley and Jamal Henderson along with Reginald Hudlin, Warrington Hudlin and Gretel Twombly serve as executive producers.
