A new family will be terrorized in the upcoming film in the Insidious franchise, Insidious: Out of the Further.

Directed by Jacob Chase from his own screenplay, the Sony Pictures Releasing film brings viewers deeper into the scary dark parallel dimension that houses spiritual monsters and tormented souls. In this film, a woman realizes she can access the Further. Her power becomes something the spirits in the Further desperately want.

Lin Shaye returns to the franchise and stars alongside Amelia Eve with Nope star Brandon Perea and Maisie Richardson-Sellars.

In Insidious: Out of the Further, Amelia Eve stars as Gemma, a young mother raising her daughter in the house she grew up in who discovers she can travel into The Further, the purgatorial realm of lost souls at the heart of the Insidious universe. When something evil comes after her, Gemma discovers an ability that changes everything: she doesn’t just enter The Further, she can bring what lives there back to the real world. Once the demons realize her power, our world becomes their playground.

The film is based on a story by Chase and David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, based on characters created by Leigh Whannell. Whannell produces with Jason Blum, James Wan and Oren Peli. Executive producers include Johnson-McGoldrick, Steven Schneider, Ryan Turek and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones.
