Hallmark’s When Calls the Heart Season 13 concluded in March, but after watching Elizabeth Thornton (Erin Krakow) and Nathan Grant’s (Kevin McGarry) engagement, Lucas Bouchard (Chris McNally) and Edie Martell’s (Miranda MacDougall) long-awaited kiss, and Abigail Stanton’s (Lori Loughlin) surprising return, fans are already eager to get back to Hope Valley, Good Housekeeping reported.
According to TV Insider, the romance series was renewed for Season 14 in December, but when will the new season air? Here’s what to know about When Calls the Heart Season 14 — and who’s expected to return.
When will When Calls The Heart Season 14 premiere?
Shortly after the Season 13 finale aired on Hallmark, the network announced in an Instagram post that When Calls the Heart Season 14 will debut in 2027, Good Housekeeping reported.
“2027 can’t come soon enough, #Hearties! 💛,” the network captioned the post. “There’s so much in store for the next season of When Calls the Heart. What are you most looking forward to?”
Hallmark has not announced a premiere date for the new season, but the network has revealed the show will go into production in 2026, TV Insider reported.
Though the premiere date is on par with the show’s schedule, some fans are still shook that it won’t be back until 2027, with one writing on Instagram, “OMG…2027?! Its only March 2026.”
Who will appear in When Calls The Heart Season 14?
Fans can expect most of the cast to return, including Krakow, McGarry and Pascale Hutton, who plays Rosemary. Also likely to reprise their roles are Jack Wagner (Bill), Chris McNally (Lucas), Kavan Smith (Lee), Viv Leacock (Joseph), Natasha Burnett (Minnie), Ben Rosenbaum (Mike), Amanda Wong (Mei), Andrea Brooks (Faith), Martin Cummins (Henry), Jaeda Lily Miller (Allie), Hyland Goodrich (Little Jack), Loretta Walsh (Florence), Johannah Newmarch (Molly) and Hrothgar Mathews (Ned).
Hallmark announced that Loughlin will also be a part of Season 14 following her departure from the show in Season 6 due to the actor’s involvement in the Operation Varsity Blues college admissions scandal.
“Since the series’ debut in 2014, the character of Abigail Stanton was a fan favorite and beloved by the Hearties,” Michelle Vicary, Hallmark Media’s head of programming, said in a statement, per TV Insider. “At its core, the Hallmark brand is about hope, positivity, and connection, which is also the central theme of When Calls the Heart. We felt that Season 14 was the right time to continue Abigail’s story with her return to this beloved series.”
Loughlin’s return to Hope Valley comes after the actor made a special appearance at Hallmark Christmas Experience’s When Calls the Heart cast panel in December.
“I just want to thank everyone at Hallmark for being so loving and so welcoming. … And this just feels incredible. And I think — I mean, you guys all know it — we have such a special cast and such a special bond, and it’s just so nice to be back with my family,” she said, per TV Insider.
More recently, Loughlin attended a When Calls the Heart and Hope Valley: 1874 celebration event in Los Angeles alongside Krakow, Wagner, Rosenbaum and other cast members, per ABC 6.
