Insecure‘s fans gave Kyla Pratt all of her flowers on Twitter after the actress appeared on the sixth episode of the popular HBO series’ fourth season. Recently, she and Issa Rae shared an Instagram Live chat where they talked about Pratt’s role and career, with Rae giving her the ultimate compliment.
“I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for you, in every sense of the word,” Rae said. “The body of work that you’ve accomplished over the years, you stay working. So I’m just so grateful for your presence, and I know you felt the love.”

Seeing how Pratt’s career has been so influential to the culture, it’s great that she is getting the credit she deserves for inspiring a generation of young Black girls to live to the fullest.
