Shadow and Act Exclusive: The upcoming film Boo! is set to make its world premiere on October 14 at the Brooklyn Horror Festival.

Ahead of its debut, Shadow and Act has an exclusive clip from the film, as well as the official poster.

The film, toplined by Moonlight star Jaden Piner, also stars Jill Marie Jones, Aurora Perrineau, Jill Marie Jones, Charley Palmer Rothwell (Dunkirk), Dwight Henry (Beasts of the Southern Wild) and Rob Zabrecky.

Boo! is the debut feature of 22-year-old filmmaker Luke Jaden. Jaden and Diane Michelle co-wrote it.

The official synopsis reads: Married with two kids, James and Elyse are struggling to keep it together. Along with the couple’s own rifts, their daughter, Morgan, is hiding her own suicidal thoughts, while younger son Caleb channels his suppressed emotions through troublingly macabre artwork. One night, their true test arrives: a strange Halloween game left on their doorstep that, legend has it, leaves a curse on those who choose not to play. Unfortunately, that’s the choice this family makes—and evil spirits of all kinds are ready to make them pay.

Phil Wurtzel of Midland Entertainment and Ele Bardha of Bardha Productions produce, while Bradley Pilz and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones of Automatik along with Nicolas Chartier and Jonathan Decker of Voltage Pictures serve as executive producers. Ben Collins (Super Dark Times) and Luke Piotrowski (Super Dark Times) are co-executive producers. Bradley Pilz Productions and Midland Ent. financed the project.
