Jaleel White, who famously portrayed Steve Urkel on the ABC sitcom Family Matters, is slated to reprise his iconic ’90s role. However, those hoping this means a Family Matters reunion should not hold their breath. White is slated to reprise the role of Steve Urkel in an upcoming animated episode of Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? titled “When Urkel-Bots Go Bad!”
The episode showcases White’s iconic ’90s character working with Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, Daphne, Fred and Velma in stopping a robot version of Steve Urkel from wreaking havoc.
Having its premiere last June on Boomerang, Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? is the thirteenth series in the Scooby-Doo animated franchise. In the new series, Scooby-Doo and his crew solve their usual mysteries, encountering well-known celebrities along the way. Past guests and well known cultural figures on prior episodes have included Wanda Sykes and Wonder Woman.
“When Urkel-Bots Go Bad!” will have its premiere Thursday on Boomerang.
