After years of watching her try and fail in the love department, Jennifer Williams is engaged. The Basketball Wives star recently announced that she’s set to wed Christian Gold, after the 30-year-old proposed with a pear-shaped diamond ring. Williams, 48, wrote in an Instagram post: “Future Mrs… 💎❤.” She also published a meme that read, “Don’t be shocked when life starts to get good.” With such a huge age difference, and Williams’ last relationship playing out in Season 10 of the VH1 reality show, many are wondering who her new beau is and how she seemingly moved on so quickly.
Who is Christian Gold?
According to his Instagram bio, Gold is an investor who describes himself as an “8-Figure Wealth Portfolio Manager.” They took their romance public in June when Williams wished him a happy birthday on Instagram. Two months later, they posted a video to Gold’s Instagram page to explain their public love with a new YouTube channel, Life with Jen & CG.
Jennifer Williams was dating a different man in Season 10
The reality star was last seen with a man named Jelani whom she met on the show via a “Meat Market” thrown by co-star, DJ Duffey. She even met and received the approval from his parents. But according to comments she wrote on Instagram to fans questioning her new romance, she ended things with Jelani seven months before meeting and dating Christian, despite Jelani seemingly blindsided by the relationship on social media.
The VH1 star has been unlucky in love
When fans first met her, she was in a dry marriage to former NBA player, Eric Williams. The then-couple struggled through infidelity and distance. They wed in July 2007, and divorced in 2010.
She later dated Love & Hip Hop: New York star, Cisco Rosado. Williams later was with the star of OWN’s Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s, Tim Norman. She accused him of being abusive and stalking her and received a temporary restraining order after they split. He’s currently serving a life sentence in prison for orchestrating a murder-for-hire plot against his 21-year-old nephew that resulted in his shooting death.
Season 11 of Basketball Wives will return to VH1 this fall.
