Jessie Buckley isn’t the Bride of Frankenstein. She’s The Bride! as she says in the new film trailer from Warner Bros.
With the music of Florence + The Machine in the background, Buckley is shown as a woman brought back to life and intent on exacting revenge. Christian Bale plays Frankenstein (Frankenstein’s monster, technically), who wants a companion. Together, the two go on a Bonnie and Clyde-esque rampage. Annette Bening also stars.
Here’s more about the film:
A lonely Frankenstein (Bale) travels to 1930s Chicago to ask groundbreaking scientist Dr. Euphronious (five-time Oscar nominee Annette Bening) to create a companion for him. The two revive a murdered young woman and The Bride (Buckley) is born. What ensues is beyond what either of them imagined: Murder! Possession! A wild and radical cultural movement! And outlaw lovers in a wild and combustible romance!
