The Dion family is back, back, back again on RuPaul’s Drag Race. After Morphine Love Dion captivated audiences in Season 16, her daughter, Juicy Love Dion, and mother, Athena Dion, are competing on Season 18.

During Blavity and Shadow and Act’s preseason cast interview with the queens of Season 18, we asked Juicy about her relationship with Morphine.

Not only are they drag mother and daughter, but they also first met in high school on the dance team — Juicy was a freshman and Morphine was a senior. So, they just might have one of the earliest-starting relationships in Drag Race herstory.

Juicy Love Dion on relationship with Morphine Love Dion

“We watched each other grow up,” Juicy said. “We watched each other graduate. We’ve watched each other through everything in life. So, to be here 10 years later from that date, it’s so crazy to look at where we both are. I actually just left her in my hotel room sleeping right now, so I know exactly where she is in life [laughs]. It’s been an amazing experience, and then to share [this] with everybody too, it’s not just our relationship now. It’s going to be for the world to see.”

She also said their relationship is something that other people can use as an example.

“If I can give any piece of advice to people, it’s find your person and stick by them through thick and thin and make it work,” she explained. “It’s like friendships are like relationships. You have to learn each other, learn how to communicate with each other, and learn how to love each other to make it successful, make it work. That’s how we’ve been friends for 10 years to this day. And she’s a f**king cunt. She’s a diva [laughs]. We make it work.”
