Some fans of The Real Housewives of Atlanta have complained that the past few seasons have been lackluster at best. From concerns about the cast, storylines and more after season 15, fans are demanding a cast shakeup, and some even desire a full reboot. Kandi Burruss is the longest-running full-time housewife in any city, joining in season 2. While she’s given much of her personal and professional life to the show, there have been complaints by her co-stars and even some viewers that it’s time for her to go. Some even say she’s a Bravo favorite and is protected by the network. Whatever the case may be, Burruss is unbothered by any rumors of a shakeup.

Burruss says producers can do what they want for Season 16 of ‘RHOA’

She was recently on iHeart Radio with Tyrik Wynn when she was asked about the fans’ cries for a revamp.

In response to their requests, Burruss had this to say: “My response is [to] do whatever they need to do,” she said, “I feel like, I’ve been on here 14 seasons, I’ve seen different cast mates come and go, some I was sad to see go, some I’ve seen go and come back. I know people constantly need to see change to feel like they’re getting something. So if they feel like they need to make changes, find a cast that you think is going to work. Do I think they’re gonna find a whole cast of people that’s gonna work and satisfy our fans? Probably not,” she added.

The Xscape member says production has tried and failed at casting before

According to Burruss, there were several potential Housewives set to join in Season 15, but they ultimately didn’t make the cut. She also notes it’s hard for producers to find new cast members willing to share their lives. “It’s not as easy to cast the show as you may think,” she explained. “I think we need people who have a lot of things happening to be able to show, we need people who have interesting people around them.”

Production sources say a cast shakeup is imminent

Love B. Scott previously reported that sources close to production report that producers are scrambling after a disastrous season. The network is reportedly excited to follow the model they did with The Real Housewives of New York’s season 14.

Despite the drama going on with OG Kim Zolciak and her divorce from Kroy Biermann, producers are reportedly not interested in bringing her back, nor Porsha Guobadia (formerly Williams) despite rumors they requested the latter and she turned them down.

There is speculation that Burruss, Kenya Moore and Sheree Whitfield could keep their peaches, but nothing has been confirmed.
