If you’ve been through a journey of discovery with your natural hair during the quarantine, you’re not alone.

Kat Graham talked with Vogue about the new hair care routine she’s developed while living in lockdown. Her process, which includes reducing the amount of heat she uses on her hair, using Cantu Avocado Leave-In Conditioner, and Briogeo Curl Cream among other products, has left her in tears about her hair health, especially since her hairstylist, Rachel Lee, gifted her the conditioner that changed her life.

“It’s almost like she knew I was going to be on my own. And I’ve never had to be on my own with my hair before,” she said. “This was the product that really helped me figure out that my hair will work with me if I don’t give up on it.

She spoke about how Hollywood has created room for Black actresses to have poor relationships with their hair.

“African texture [hair] is not something that Hollywood has ever necessarily embraced, so I’m hoping I can one day play a character that I actually look like” she said.
