Katt Williams is laying down some heavy accusations against fellow comedian Cedric the Entertainer.
According to EURWeb, Williams said on radio show The Morning Hustle that he was “crushed” when he realized Cedric the Entertainer allegedly stole his joke for the now-infamous Kings of Comedy tour. The Jasmine Brand also captured video from the morning show featuring Williams talk about his accusation.

“When it initially happened to me it curshed me just because the comedian was already bigger and more famous than me and he took my closing joke and made it his closing joke on Kings Of Comedy,” he said. “The reason it hit so bad was that I was in the theater. I paid my money to go see Kings Of Comedy and to see my joke being there and not me was about as disrespectful as it gets in our craft. I really took it personally with Cedric the Entertainer at that time.”
Williams didn’t talk about if he and Cedric the Entertainer have found common ground and made up at any point–Kings of Comedy debuted in 2000, meaning it’s been 21 years since the alleged stealing took place. Cedric the Entertainer also hasn’t released any statement about Williams’ accusation.
Williams has been in the news recently with his recent viral statements on cancel culture on the Joe Budden Podcast.
“Some of these things are for the benefit of everything. Nobody likes the speed limit, but it’s necessary. Nobody likes the shoulder of the road, but it’s there for a reason,” said Williams, as Variety reports. “My point is [some comedians] weren’t all that extremely funny back when they could say whatever they wanted to say. At the end of the day, there’s no cancel culture. Cancellation doesn’t have its own culture…If [not offending people] are the confines that keep you from doing the craft God put you to, then it probably ain’t for you. Growth is part of being an adult.”
