A day after “Moonlight” star Trevante Rhodes joined the cast of director Shane Black’s “The Predator,” Keegan-Michael Key (known more for his comedy) has also become a member of the cast of the latest installment in the sci-fi/action franchise set up at 20th Century Fox.
The plot for what will be the fourth standalone film in the series (not counting two “Alien v. Predator” movies) is being kept underwraps, although director Shane Black has said previously it’s not a reboot, but an “inventive sequel” and will be set in the suburbs this time around.
No word on what role Keegan-Michael Key has signed up to play, but he joins a cast that also includes (in addition to Trevante Rhodes) Boyd Holbrook and Olivia Munn.
We most recently say Key in last year’s (20160) comedy “Keanu” which he produced and starred in with his “Key & Peele” co-star Jordan Peele.
