Keke Palmer has been tapped by Jordan Peele to star in the director’s secretive new film set at Universal.
Details about the film are being kept under tight wraps, we only really know that Peele will write and direct. The pic already has a release date which set for July 22, 2022.
As Deadline highlighted when they broke the news, “Peele had been spending the fall meeting with talent for the film before coming across Palmer for the lead role. The two already had ties together going back to Peele’s days on the Key & Peele show and after meeting Palmer for his latest project, was quick to offer her the lead of his next project.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Daniel Kaluuya is also in negotiations to re-team with Peele and star in the film as well, his next project with the filmmaker after Get Out.
This will be Peele’s third feature following Get Out and Us. It will be under the five-year deal his production company, Monkeypaw, has at Universal.
