Popular vlogger, podcaster and comedian Kid Fury is set to develop and HBO comedy series that will be executive produced by Lena Waithe.

Fury, whose real name is Gregory A. Smith, is most known as one-half of the podcast The Read. He began a solo stand-up show, “Furious Thoughts: Live,” and guest-starred in Season 2 of Netflix’s Dear White People.
He will be a writer and co-executive producer. Alongside Waithe, Pisello, David Martin, Jon Thoday, and Richard Allen-Turner will executive producer. Jason Kim is a co-executive producer.
Waithe is on a roll right now. Just this weekend, it was announced that she is exec producing an Amazon horror anthology series, Them.
She also has a film, Queen & Slim, starring Daniel Kaluuya at Universal set to begin production soon, and is exec producing and writing the upcoming series, Twenties, at TBS.
She recently signed a first-look deal at Showtime, which is home to her critically-acclaimed drama series, The Chi.
