Congratulations to Russell Simmons and Kimora Lee Simmons’ daughter Ming Lee on graduating from New York University. The eldest of their two daughters proudly walked across the stage wearing the NYU royal purple cap and gown.

Cheering her baby on, Kimora posted a slideshow of the two embracing as they said goodbye to Ming’s college days. Mother and daughter looked stunning. Ming wore a white chiffon cutout maxi dress with white lace-up stilettos and Cartier stacked bracelets. Kimora wore a white silk button-down blouse, black slacks and a tennis necklace and even rocked the purple cap and gown for photos.

“We did it!!! My 1st baby GRADUATED COLLEGE! NYU #ClassOf2023 It’s been a journey and a labor of love but YOU DID IT! Mama is soooo proud of you! ILYSM” she captioned the slide of photos.

Russell posted a sweet photo of his daughter.

“God’s greatest gifts are your children love them unconditionally,” he wrote. “So proud and inspired by what u have become, what is not apparent on the surface is your amazing heart. This is for sure your greatest gift. Continue to be compassionate and loving I love and cherish you keep going the world is yours.”

Kimora has candidly shared her sentiments on being a single mother of five children and the nuances of motherhood.

“I’m a single mom of five kids, and I know how hard it can be,” Kimora shared.

“I know how that feels like to raise your kids and to get up every day and only care about them,” she told People. “And it doesn’t matter if you’re rich and famous or you’re this thing or this singer, that singer, at the end of the day, you’re a mom, or you’re a cousin, you’re an auntie, you’re a family member, you’re a community person, a caregiver, you’re just there trying to make everything come together.”
