The Los Angeles Lakers have signed the sons of NBA legends Shaquille O’Neal and Scottie Pippen to their summer roster.

Scotty Jr. and Shareef signed contracts with the team after not being drafted in the NBA’s two-round selection process.

Shareef, 22, signed to play for the Lakers on their NBA Summer League squad; Scotty, 21, signed a two-way deal. This means he’ll also play on the summer roster with Shareef and has a good chance of being selected for the regular season.

On Thursday, Shareef confirmed on his Twitter account by sharing a 7-second video of himself and his younger brother wearing Laker jerseys.

“THANK YOU FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY @Lakers!” said Shareef.

Scotty also confirmed the news of his joining the legendary team on his Twitter account, saying that dreams come true.

“Dreams come true Let’s get to work #lakeshow,” Scotty tweeted.

Shareef, 6’10,” worked out with the Lakers, having his start during his college basketball career at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he redshirted in his first year due to heart surgery. In the 2021-2022 season.

O’Neal averaged 2.9 points and 2.1 rebounds per game. Before transferring to LSU, he played one season (2019-2020) at UCLA.
