Latto is disputing reports about the purported ramifications of her run-in with authorities after being caught with a loaded gun at LAX. On Wednesday, the 24-year-old “Big Energy” artist took to Twitter and denied enrolling in a year-long diversion program.

“IDK who put out that false-ass information, ’cause I’m not in no damn program… Also, the situation happened over a year ago, and y’all never even knew until I mentioned it in the ‘Boom, Pt. 2’ verse. Nun to ‘brag’ about. Leave me alone,” Latto tweeted.

Latto was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport in May 2021 after being found and charged with carrying a concealed weapon and loaded firearm. She shared a few bars about the incident on her new collab track with Mello Buckzz, “Boom Pt. 2.

“I got locked up in the airport, goddamn forgot the gun,” Latto rapped.

After a lengthy case, Latto has hit the jackpot now that she is close to getting the charges dropped. To help clear the charges, TMZ, reported, Latto entered a yearlong diversion program at the start of April 2022. In addition, she learned about proper gun safety, performed 120 hours of community service, and must avoid all firearms.

According to TMZ, Latto’s future will rely on her completed requirements, and she must attend a hearing in late April.

Fans asked for a story, and she explained on Twitter that she was arrested with a loaded gun in her purse while attempting to board her private flight to Alabama. Latto said although she was apprehended, she still managed to perform.

Some haters swarmed Latto’s tweet calling her story “a lie” or “exaggerated” after hearing about why she was arrested in 2021.
