NBC has handed out renewals to its four Dick Wolf shows.
The Wolf-created Law & Order: Special Victims Unit will get a 20th season, tying the record for the longest-running show ever — creating a three-way tie between it, parent series Law & Order and Gunsmoke.
Wolf’s three newer Chicago-set dramas, Chicago P.D., Chicago Med and Chicago Fire, have all been renewed, as well.
SVU is NBC’s second-highest rated drama after This Is Us.
A stronghold on NBC’s schedule, none of the four renewals come as a surprise, and all were expected.
