Although NBA Legend LeBron James dreams of seeing his eldest son, LeBron James Jr., play in the NBA alongside him, his wife Savannah, however, merely wants their son to be genuinely happy.
Affectionately nicknamed ''Bronny," LeBron Jr. is considered the next big thing in the league of future NBA players. Bronny, a junior at Sierra Canyon High School, is a 4-star prospect in the class of 2023 and was ranked 24th in ESPN'sESPN's 2023 recruiting rankings.
During the IMDb TV docuseries, Top Class: The Life and Times of the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers, Mr. and Mrs. James discussed their hopes and dreams for their son.
LeBron expressed his desire to play in league with his son in one day.
"I want him to get to the NBA," LeBron said. "I am not even gonna lie; I want to be on the court with him. I think that will be an unbelievable moment. He's about to be a junior, so the years, it could get close, but we should see, but I want him to get to the NBA."
In December during a post-game interview, LeBron discussed Bronny's dream to play in the NBA. LeBron is in his 19th season in the NBA and turned 37 on December 30. James will likely be in his 40s if he plays along with Bronny.
"He has my support and my blueprint. With health and a little bit of luck, that would be the ultimate thing," LeBron said.
But Mrs. James, Savannah, had a slightly different approach, giving a more thoughtful and yet straightforward answer to the question.
"To be happy and to find happiness in whatever it is he does," Savannah said. "I just want him to be happy."
Whatever the future holds for Bronny, he will indeed have the full support of both of his parents.
