Lil Durk has already captured rap fame, plaques and awards, but he has new boxes to check off. With his 29th birthday around the corner, the Chicago rapper wants to obtain his high school diploma.

On Thursday, Durk took to Twitter to share his future academic plans, saying “real life” skills and “goals” are essential to him.

“I’m going to get my high school diploma. I want to challenge myself on my goals and real-life situations,” he tweeted.

The Chicago rapper already has an impressive résumé and is currently one of the most sought after rappers in the game. With 35 songs on the Hot 100 in 2021, the “Hats Off” artist has earned more entries than any other musician this year. Durk said he wants to “challenge” himself in new ways outside of music. If he follows through with his plans, a diploma would just add to the list of accolades.

Durk isn’t the only rapper who’s had their sights on advancing their education. Last year, Migos rapper Quavo became a high school graduate.

“The Hot Girl Coach” Megan Thee Stallion is also about hitting the books as a Texas Southern University student. The rapper is studying for a degree in health care administration and plans to start assisted living facilities after she graduates.

The list goes on. More recently, “No More Parties” rapper Coi Leray went back to Montclair High School in New Jersey to receive her honorary diploma eight years after the 24-year-old rapper dropped out.
