LisaGay Hamilton will portray former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice in the upcoming biopic on Former Vice President Dick Cheney, Backseat, from Adam McKay.

Christian Bale is portraying Dick Cheney and Amy Adams will play his wife, Lynne.

Deadline, who first reported the news of Hamilton’s casting says the film chronicle Cheney’s rise from CEO of Halliburton to becoming the most “powerful VP in history.”

Rice was National Security Advisor during President George W. Bush’s first term, and Secretary of State during his second.

Hamilton, most known her long-running role in the ABC drama The Practice, recently wrappd up a trio of films, including the sci-fi flick Ad Astra with Tommy Lee Jones, Brad Pitt, Ruth Negga and Kimberly Elise.
