ARRAY Releasing, the distribution arm of Ava DuVernay’s Peabody Award-winning narrative change collective, has announced they’ve acquired award-winning filmmaker Sterlin Harjo’s documentary feature Love and Fury.

“ARRAY Releasing is proud to bring celebrated filmmaker Sterlin Harjo’s documentary film LOVE AND FURY to audiences around the world, just in time for Native American Heritage month,” said Tilane Jones, President of ARRAY. “This lovingly made film explores the complex artistry of multiple Native American artists’ while offering texture, nuance and insight into Native identities and perspectives.”

Produced by Harjo and executive produced by Robin Ballenger, Love and Fury chronicles a collective  of Native artists as they work to amplify indigenous creativity in a post-colonial world and navigate their careers without seeking permission.

The film made its world premiere at the Hot Docs International’s Documentary Festival and was the official selection at the Seattle International Film Festival, imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival, and DeadCenter Film Festival.

Harjo is also known as the co-creator, executive producer, and showrunner of critically acclaimed FX comedy Reservation Dogs an original comedy about four teens in rural Oklahoma.  Love and Fury will be released on select screens and on Netflix beginning Dec. 3.
