Love Island USA Season 7 couple Nic Vansteenberghe and Olandria Carthen just proved their love is stronger than ever outside of the villa. The reality stars made their red carpet debut at Sunday’s 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, where fellow Love Island Season 7 alum Ace Greene also attended.
Vansteenberghe and Carthen stopped at the Bacardí Rum suite, the official spirits partner of the 2025 VMAs.
Carthen and Vansteenberghe stunned in black and red looks
Carthen was the belle of the ball in a red corset and sheer overlay, while her beau looked dapper in an all-black look. According to The Mirror, lip reader NJ Hickling said the 27-year-old said she was “a little excited” after waving to fans on the red carpet.
Nicolandria fans were just as excited to see the couple make their red-carpet debut, many sharing fan edits on social media.
Bacardí presented the MTV Push Performance of the Year
In addition to offering Vansteenberghe, Carthen and others a special Bacardí cocktail at the 2025 VMAs, the brand also presented the MTV Push Performance of the Year, which the release noted celebrates “the breakthrough artists shaping the future of music.” This year’s award went to the girl group Katseye for the song “Touch.”
Bacardí also partnered with the 2025 VMAs on a special edition MTV Live digital concert featuring Amaarae, Justine Skye and Kyle Dion.
Music industry veteran and celebrity influencer Carter Gregory spearheaded the red carpet, interviewing J Balvin, Sexyy Red, Alix Earle, Tate McRae, Rebecca Black, sombr, Zara Larsson, Skye and Vansteenberghe, who, according to videos on TikTok, appeared to crash Carthen’s chat with Gregory to ask a few questions.
Vansteenberghe asked the 27-year-old, “Who are you most excited to see tonight besides Mariah [Carey]?”
“Doja [Cat], she looks amazing,” Carthen told her beau.
“Wrong answer,” Vansteenberghe interjected playfully. “It’s Nic.”
He went on to compliment her “fire” look.
Before their red carpet debut on Sunday, Vansteenberghe and Carthen appeared with their fellow Love Island USA Season 7 cast mates for the season’s highly anticipated reunion on Aug. 25.
