Latto has been fortunate enough to prove herself worthy of collaborating with big names in the music industry. The 24-year-old artist has already racked up features from Childish Gambino, Lil Wayne, 21 Savage, Lil Durk, Kodak Black and Nardo Wick for her debut album 777. Keeping her momentum steady, Latto has lent her lyrical talent on tracks with DJ Khaled, Saucy Santana, City Girls, GloRilla, Chloe, Cardi B and Jung Kook.

Both “Put It On Da Floor Again” and Kook’s “Seven” have become massive hits — securing her first number one on the Hot 100 with Kook. Although the Atlanta native has loved working with some of the greats of their genre, Latto has said the remix of her biggest hit song, “Big Energy,” with the legendary Mariah Carey changed her life.

According to CNN, Latto worked with DJ Khaled and Carey on “Big Energy” and explained that the collaboration has made her appreciate the momentum of her career journey. She also explained the hardships and the amount of extra work and marketing rap girls have to put into their careers.

“I feel like anything is possible at this point. I’ll just be praying and working hard and it just be like kind of falling in my lap for real. Once you work with Mariah Carey, anything is possible,” she said.

“Female rappers have to go twice as hard just for equal respect as men,” she said. “We’ve got to make sure our glam is on point, our performance is on point, you gotta get choreography, you gotta have breath control (for singing/vocals).”
