After being rumored for many, many months, the Beyoncé Coachella performance documentary is coming sooner rather than later, and the streaming giant has officially confirmed it.
After blasting promos on social media this weekend, the official trailer for the documentary was released on Monday morning.
The official description says this of the film: This intimate, in-depth look at Beyoncé’s celebrated 2018 Coachella performance reveals the emotional road from creative concept to cultural movement.
When the promos were released over the weekend, they did not explicitly state that the Homecoming project is, in fact, Knowles-Carter’s Coachella documentary, but was easy to put all of the information together — given the rumors, color scheme, and the fact that singer has a merchandise line from Coachella entitled Homecoming.
The project is due to hit Netflix on April 17.

She also started the Homecoming Scholars Award Program last year, which gave four HBCUs a $25,000 scholarship to give to a student. The documentary is expected to have the performances from the epic set, known as Beychella, as well as behind-the-scenes footage.
