A new promo spot has been released for Marvel’s upcoming series, Cloak and Dagger, which will air on Freeform.

It will debut on the network June 7, but on Wednesday, it was also announced that the series will make its world premiere at SXSW on March 11 as well.

Set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger is the story of Tandy Bowen (Olivia Holt) and Tyrone Johnson (Aubrey Joseph) – two teenagers from very different backgrounds, who find themselves burdened and awakened to newly acquired superpowers which are mysteriously linked to one another. Tandy can emit light daggers and Tyrone has the ability to engulf others in darkness. They quickly learn they are better together than apart, but their feelings for each other make their already complicated world even more challenging.

The series stars Olivia Holt, Aubrey Joseph, Andrea Roth, Gloria Reuben, Miles Mussenden, Carl Lundstedt, Emma Lahana, Jaime Zevallos, and J.D. Evermore.

It is by Marvel Television and ABC Signature Studios. Joe Pokaski (Underground) serves as showrunner and executive producer; Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s head of Television and Jim Chory also serve as executive producers.

Cloak and Dagger was set to be a part of a slate of Marvel shows on Freeform, along with Marvel’s New Warriors, but the latter was pulled from the network and may air on Disney’s new streaming service.

Gina Prince-Bythewood (Love & Basketball, Shots Fired) directed the first episode.  Prince-Bythewood is also directing Silver & Black for Fox’s Spider-Man/X-Men Marvel universe.
