A new trailer has been released for the upcoming Star Wars young Han Solo film, Solo: A Star Wars Story.
This comes after the announcement that the film would premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May, followed by its wide release later that month.
The film’s Cannes description states, “This adventure takes us back to the youth of the famous smuggler, ace pilot and charming scoundrel, Han Solo.”
Of Shadow and Act’s stated interest, the film stars Donald Glover as young Lando Calrissian and Thandie Newton in a mysterious role as Val.
Other stars are Alden Ehrenreich as the star, Han Solo, Woody Harrelson as Beckett and Emila Clarke as Qi’Ra.
Michael K. Williams was also set for a film and would have played a half-human, half-animal before his role was cut due to reshoots.
The film’s cinematographer is Bradford Young in his most high-profile project to-date. He is one of only two black cinematographers to be nominated for an Academy Award.
