Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice are back with another collaboration. This time, the New York rappers are releasing “Barbie World,” a track from the official soundtrack for the upcoming Barbie movie.

The single will be released on June 23, and social media has already shared a song snippet. “Barbie World” samples Aqua’s popular song “Barbie Girl.” Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice rap over a drill-inspired beat and switch off line by line.

The track is produced by Ice Spice’s frequent collaborator RiotUSA, according to Billboard.

“Barbie World” is the second collaboration between Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice. In April, the rappers joined forces on Spice’s “Princess Diana” remix. It was a success. To this day, the track counts over 72 million streams on Spotify.

The soundtrack for the Barbie movie features songs by several artists, including PinkPantheress, Lizzo, Khalid and Kali. Directed by Greta Gerwig, the film is highly anticipated and hits theaters on July 21.

For Ice Spice, this marks another high-profile collaboration. The Bronx rapper recently participated in the remix to “Karma” by Taylor Swift and continues to be propelled to new heights. She is the artist with the most top five Hot 100 hits this year, according to Billboard.

On TikTok, “Barbie World” is already going viral. Fans are using the song snippet in their videos before the track’s official release in over a week.

Nicki Minaj has referred to herself as Barbie throughout her music and career, so it’s no surprise the film’s soundtrack would include the influential rapper. The news also comes as the rapper revealed she would release her first album in five years on Oct. 20.
