Melvin Gregg has been cast in a series regular in Hulu’s upcoming Nicole Kidman series, Nine Perfect Strangers.

He joins Kidman and Melissa McCarthy, who were previously cast in the series. The limited series “takes place at a boutique health-and-wellness resort that promises healing and transformation as nine stressed city dwellers try to get on a path to a better way of living. Watching over them during this ten-day retreat is the resort’s director Masha (played by Kidman), a woman on a mission to reinvigorate their tired minds and bodies. However, these nine “perfect” strangers have no idea what is about to hit them.” Gregg will play Ben, one of the nine “strangers.”

The series is based on the book of the same name by Liane Moriarty, who also wrote Big Little Lies. Much of the creative team behind Big Little Lies is aboard for this series, including Kidman and co-writer and showrunner David E. Kelley.

Gregg, who first gained prominence as a social media star on platforms like Vine, is most known for his breakout turn in Netflix’s American Vandal. He also had a key recurring role in the most recent season of FX’s Snowfall and starred in the recent Ben Affleck film, The Way Back.

Deadline first reported this news.
