Normani, who rose to prominence with her hit “Motivation,” is presumably the latest star in the throes of a blossoming affair. On Saturday, a romantic interaction between her and a particular NFL player was caught on his Instagram. Since then, folks have tried to make sense of the hints of a possible romance between the two. DK Metcalf, a player for the Seattle Seahawks, posted a selfie-heavy photo dump on his Instagram page yesterday.

While most of the pictures were generic, the final slide casually indicated that he and Normani are pretty tight and even have FaceTime convos when she picks up the phone.

In the final pic, after being rejected by the singer, he stares down at his iPhone camera in disappointment. With the phrase “FaceTime unavailable written,” we can see Normani’s name at the top of the screen.

Her contact photo is only a small square, but it’s clear that she’s in bed, relaxing. After checking out the little slideshow and finding her own tiny photo included, she fueled the fire with a sweet and funny comment.

“Now I know you don’t have me up here in my headscarf,” she said.

Although he didn’t immediately acknowledge her response, we’re almost sure her FaceTime rang shortly after.

It’s not the first time the pair has made headlines this year. According to Bossip, the 26-year-old reportedly denied the relationship speculations circulating all summer. Metcalf and Normani shared a meal at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica. They came in separate cars but left the spot in the same one.

They were seen walking closely together in press images, although no PDA was evident then.

Normani promptly ended the rumors by referencing Yung Miami on her Instagram Story. After that, there was a noticeable drop in media attention dedicated to Metcalf and Normani. To the internet’s delight, the duo is warming up again as the weather gets brisk.
