The trailer for Disney+ and Lucasfilm‘s upcoming Star Wars series Obi-Wan Kenobi has dropped, giving us the first look at several characters, including Moses Ingram’s Imperial inquisitor character, Reva.
In the first look article from Entertainment Weekly, director Deborah Chow and writer Joby Harold describe Reva as “ruthlessly ambitious.” Ingram also said there’s a “common dark-side goal” between her character and characters Darth Vader and the Grand Inquisitor. “They’re on the same team,” she said, but added that Reva is “all heart.”
The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
Hayden Christensen will return to reprise his role as Darth Vader, with Ewan McGregor reprising the title character. Other cast members include O’Shea Jackson Jr., Kumail Nanjiani, Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, Benny Safdie, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Indira Varma, and Rupert Friend. Executive producers include Chow, McGregor, and Harold.
Obi-Wan Kenobi will drop on Disney+ May 25.
