Ice Cube’s son, O’Shea Jackson Jr. (who last played his father in 2015’s “Straight Outta Compton”) has joined Billy Magnussen (“Bridge of Spies”) and Wyatt Russell (“22 Jump Street”) in the cast of “Ingrid Goes West,” Matt Spicer’s dark comedy starring Aubrey Plaza and Elizabeth Olsen.

The film, written by Spicer and David Branson Smith, follows Ingrid Thorburn (Plaza) a mentally unstable young woman who becomes obsessed with Taylor Sloane (Olsen), a social media “influencer” with a seemingly-perfect life in Los Angeles. When Ingrid decides to drop everything and move to the West Coast to befriend Taylor in real life, her behavior turns unsettling and increasingly dangerous.

Jackson Jr. will star as Plaza’s love interest, with Magnussen and Russell playing Olsen’s brother and husband, respectively.

Plaza is producing along with Jared Ian Goldman (Jeff Nichols’ “Loving”), Star Thrower Entertainment’s Tim and Trevor White and Adam and Robbie Mirels through their newly formed 141 Entertainment.

Mary Solomon, Rick Rickertsen and Allan Mandelbaum are executive producing.

The film is currently shooting in Los Angeles.
