Paradise, starring Sterling K. Brown, has been renewed for its third season at Hulu, which will probably be its last one.

The Dan Fogelman-created series has been a boon for Hulu, getting over 30 million hours for Season 2 and nearly 12 billion minutes streamed worldwide across its first two seasons. The renewal is not surprising and was a sure bet, given the massive success of the show, as well as the fact that Fogelman has been open about his three-season plan for the show, which means this season is likely its last one.

Brown stars as Agent Xavier Collins, who is surviving in a post-apocalyptic America searching for his wife, Teri. According to the official synopsis, “In season two, Xavier searches for Teri out in the world and learns how people survived the three years since The Day. Back in Paradise, the social fabric frays as the bunker deals with the aftermath of season one, and new secrets are uncovered about the city’s origins.”

The series also stars Julianne Nicholson, Sarah Shahi, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Krys Marshall, Enuka Okuma, Aliyah Mastin, Percy Daggs IV and Charlie Evans. Recurring guest stars include James Marsden, Shailene Woodley, Thomas Doherty, and Jon Beavers.

What Sterling K. Brown previously said about Season 2

Brown told Blavity’s Shadow and Act ahead of Season 2 how love plays into Xavier’s storyline.

“I think love can’t be anything but a strength,” he said. “I think cynics will say that it’s a weakness or whatever. Hold love. I think it’s this thing that the more that you experience it and feel it, the more of it that you have to feel. It becomes its own reservoir by leaning into it.”

“It’s a [Dan] Fogelman show, sis,” he continued. “Love is going to be at the center of all of it. He does football shows, and it’s probably about love, you know what I’m saying? I think that it can’t help but ripple throughout what you’re going to see in Episode 208. It’s going to blow your mind.”

Season 2 airs new episodes weekly on Hulu.
