Pop Smoke fans are bound to be disappointed if they expect any more music from the late New York rapper. Taken at just 20 years old, Pop Smoke put out only two mixtapes before his untimely death. Since then, his estate has released his music posthumously.
According to Rico Beats, Pop Smoke’s manager/producer — whom he worked with the most throughout his short-lived career — there is nothing left in the vault less than three years later. Over the weekend, Rico Beats’ Instagram convo with a Pop Smoke fan discussed the potential for more unreleased music. The back-and-forth was shared on social media.

“Who said he had music left,” Beats wrote. “What else ya want, pop died [three] years ago; how much music ya think he did in one year? Y’all gotta be real.”
Rico Beats famously provided instrumentals for Pop Smoke’s hits like “Hello (ft. A Boogie wit da Hoodie),” “Armed N Dangerous,” and “Shake The Room.”
To curb unrealistic expectations, Beats further claimed Pop Smoke wouldn’t have approved of the posthumous music that’s been put out in his name.
Tyler, the Creator shared a similar sentiment last Wednesday at a one-night-only concert to celebrate the release of his recent deluxe album, Call Me If You Get Lost: The Estate Sale. He told attendees he would not want any of his unreleased music dropped when he dies. Anderson .Paak also got a tattoo forbidding the drop of any unreleased, posthumous music.
This isn’t the first time the late artist’s associates have hinted at running out of Smoke’s posthumous music. Following the release of his second and final studio album, Faith, his best friend Mike Dee confirmed they used almost all of his catalog to drop that album.
“I feel like, instead of dropping all thirty songs, I would have waited until now, till next year, that way his name will stay alive instead of just dropping it all at one time,” Dee said during an interview with Rap TV host Kalisha Perera in 2021. “I’m guessing this is what he had left in the vault. Yeah.”

Pop Smoke’s estate released two albums following his death. They dropped his debut studio album, Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon, in the summer of 2020, a few months after he was murdered during a home invasion. 50 Cent served as the executive producer on the project, which is his most commercially successful LP.
A year later, Pop Smoke’s album, Faith, dropped. Both projects featured a star-studded list of features that included Kanye West, Rick Ross, Pusha T, 21 Savage, 42 Dugg, The Neptunes, Bizzy Banks, Lil Tjay, Takeoff, Swae Lee, Chris Brown, Future, Dua Lipa, Quavo, Lil Baby, DaBaby, Pharrell, Kid Cudi and Kodak Black.
For fans of the late rapper, there’s only the comfort of having what was left from his estate to enjoy in Pop Smoke’s memory.
