The stars have aligned. Redman is set to will appear in the upcoming season of Starz’s Power: Book II Ghost, reuniting with Method Man.
The two have worked together in their music careers for over 25 years forming the duo Meth and Red after branching off from their respective groups. They also appeared in the 2001 stoner film How High and their 2004 Fox sitcom Method and Red which only lasted nine episodes due to creative differences.
Now this dynamic duo will appear again in the upcoming second season of Starz Power: Book II Ghost as brothers. Redman will play Theo Rollins, Davis MacLean (Method Man).
Starz states the following of the character, “Theo Rollins used to run the streets with his little brother, Davis MacLean. But now, they sit on opposite sides of the law with Theo serving an extensive prison term, and Davis, off his win in the Tasha St. Patrick case, now the biggest defense attorney in New York City. They both know, had the past played out differently, Davis could be locked up alongside his big brother, but Theo questions if the guilt’s enough for Davis to keep his promise.”
The reunion will occur, but not before the prequel series Power Book III: Kanan premiers this summer. Fans were able to witness the Method Man and Redman reunite previously when they faced off in a Verzuz battle. The battle took many viewers down memory lane and introduced newcomers to the magic these two created.
Method Man has appeared in other films such as 187, Belly, Red Tails and Keanu. Redman has appeared in Scary Movie III and Seed of Chucky.
