Memphis rapper Finesse2Tymes just raised the bar on prison release gifts.
Born Ricky Hampton, the artist is the newest signee to Moneybagg Yo’s label, Bread Gang. With the announcement of his deal, Finesse showed off a creative way to spend a check. He shared an Instagram video of a pair of diamond-encrusted handcuffs on his wrists.

The “Goin Straight In” rapper captioned the post:
“WHEN THEY CLOSED ATLANTA USP DOWN THEY SHIPPED ME TO BERLIN, NEW HAMPSHIRE , HAD ME ON THE BUS 29 HOURS, WHEN WE GOT TO THE JAIL I LOOKED DOWN AND SEEN WELPS ON MY WRIST , I SAID IN MY MIND “ITS AIGHTT” WHEN I GET OUT , UMA BUSS DEZ MF DOWN‼️ THESE MF REPRESENT FREEDOM , FREE ALL DUH REAL ONE”S , GIVE THE OTHER ONE”S LETHAL INJECTION‼️ @iceman_nick.”
In the video, Finesse is being “handcuffed” with the custom bracelets by someone who isn’t yet confirmed to be an actual police officer. He continuously stated the bracelets represent “freedom” and that he “broke the chains.”
The rapper was released from prison two months ago after being arrested due to a federal weapons charge. According to NBC News, he was sentenced in Arkansas to five years in prison on a federal weapons charge, which came after he was arrested with a gun a week before a shooting at an unrelated event at a Little Rock nightclub, where he was performing.
Although fans are happy Finesse is home, there were some mixed reviews of his new wrist additions. @SayCheeseDGTL reposted Finesse’s video, and followers overwhelmingly disagreed with the symbolism.
Not you had an officer put them on and had the nerve to say it represent freedom🤔chiiiiiiii

And @antihealthyfood blames hip-hop culture.
Hip hop culture gets worse everyday. Dudes really happy to look like the fanciest slave and others want to emulate it. I truly hope this stuff changes in the near future.

Tell us what you think. Are Finesse’s new pieces a flex or a fail?
