Issa Rae’s Rap Sh!t is finally back!

The latest trailer for the second season has been released and fans can expect more drama and more rap as Shawna (Aida Osman) and Mia (KaMillion) make their names in the rap industry with their new tour. Here’s more about what you can expect from the second season:

RAP SH!T follows two estranged high school friends from Miami, Shawna and Mia, who reunite to form a rap group. In their rise to fame, Shawna and Mia find themselves at a pivotal moment in their rap career as they are forced to decide if they will stay true to themselves or conform to the demands of the music industry.

Also starring are Jonica Booth, RJ Cyler and Daniel Augustin.

The series is loosely based on the real lives of the City Girls with City Girls members JT and Yung Miami serving as co-executive producers alongside Rae as executive producer.

Syretta Singleton also serves as showrunner and executive producer. HOORAE’s Montrel McKay also executive produces with 3 Arts Entertainment’s Dave Becky and Jonathan Barry and Jim Kleverweis. Quality Control Films’ Kevin “Coach K” Lee and Pierre “P” Thomas and HOORAE’s Sara Rastogi and Jax Clark co-executive produce.
