Regina King added another trophy to her mantle Sunday!

At the Critics’ Choice Awards, she won Best Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Angela Abar / Sister Night in HBO’s Watchmen.  King was up against Christine Baranski (The Good Fight), Olivia Colman (The Crown), Jodie Comer (Killing Eve), Nicole Kidman (Big Little Lies), Mj Rodriguez (Pose), Sarah Snook (Succession) and Zendaya (Euphoria).

Watchmen wrapped its critically-acclaimed run late last year. King’s co-star, Jean Smart, also picked up a win for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

The series, from Damon Lindelof, is based on the 1980s DC Comics series, which had a film adaptation in 2009 from Zack Snyder. It is the latest collaboration between him and King since HBO’s The Leftovers. Set in an alternate history where “superheroes” are treated as outlaws, Watchmen “embraces the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel while attempting to break new ground of its own.”

Jeremy Irons, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Louis Gossett Jr., Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, Adelaide Clemens, Andrew Howard, Tom Mison, Frances Fisher, Jacob Ming-Trent, Sara Vickers, Dylan Schombing, Lily Rose Smith and Adelynn Spoon also star.
