Porsha Williams burst onto the scene of The Real Housewives of Atlanta during season 5. At the time, she was a devoted and proud housewife of retired NFL star, Kordell Stewart. While the other housewives were focusing on using the platform of the show to expand their business empires, Williams at the time was reveling in life as a stay-at-home wife. Despite the push from her co-stars to explore a level of independence, Williams didn’t budge.

It wasn’t until the end of her Williams’ first season that she began to blossom into who fans know her as today. Stewart filed for divorce, kicked Williams out of their marital home and fought against her receiving financial support. After a short court battle, Williams waived her right to anything related to Stewart and began building her own empire.

Today, Williams is not only part of the highest-rated housewives franchise, and a fan favorite on the show, but she’s also a successful businesswoman. She’s a staple in radio as a co-host of Dish Nation. She also owns her own hair extensions line, Go Naked Hair; a bedding line, Pampered by Porsha; hosts a podcast alongside her mother and sister with Porsha 4 Real, and has her own lingerie line. On top of that, Williams has taken notes from her late grandfather, civil rights activist Hosea Williams, and has become an activist in her own right on the front lines of the Black Lives Matter Movement.

Before the show, Williams’ main job was handling the marketing of her late grandfather’s foundation, Hosea Feed the Hungry. While she’s still part of the daily operations, she now’s spread between her work in activism and being a media personality.

Her hard work appears to be paying off. According to the U.S. Sun, Williams racks in $1.3 million per season on RHOA. She’s set to receive a bigger payday with her upcoming three-part special on Bravo. Williams also earns money from paid social media endorsements, her work in radio, and profits from her businesses. The Sun puts Williams’ net worth around the $5 million mark.
