After a season of infighting between the women of The Real Housewives of Potomac, the season ended with the husbands nearly coming to blows, and it of course involved their wives and Monique Samuels being vindicated by the court of law.

Despite the joyous occasion of Juan Dixon surprising his longtime love Robyn with a wedding proposal, the ladies could not keep their drama at a minimum. A tearful Candiace Dillard Bassett confronted Karen Huger once again about feeling that Huger is not holding Samuels accountable for her participation in their fight.

She’s also still reeling from the notion that she believes Huger intentionally tried having her and Samuels arrive at her wig launch party at the same time, despite both women insisting they did not want to be around each other. Huger denies such took place and promises that the women would not run into each other.

As the women talked, an intoxicated Michael Darby approached Chris Bassett, telling him he needed to “control his wife.” Things quickly escalated between the two, with Chris pushing Michael through a crowd and a wasted Michael threatening to sue Chris.

Ashley and Candiace then exchanged words as their husbands were pulled apart. Security, along with several other co-stars and attendees of the party, had to continue to pull Michael away from the scene. Michael then turned his frustrations to production and was seen and heard cursing at them as they told him he was not allowed in the production area.

Ashley and Michael also got into a verbal spat, with Ashley informing her husband that his actions were inappropriate and embarrassing.

At the end of the episode, with the show’s annual epilogue starting where each of the cast members are today, Samuels said that the court decided to drop of the women’s claims. She said that for the court, there was proof that things transpired as a result of something that they both played a part in.

Part one of the season 5 reunion airs Sunday, Dec. 13 at 9:15 p.m. EST on Bravo.
